Your Privacy Rights and How to Contact Us
The Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to request access to and correction of the personal information we hold about you. You can take steps to control the ways we use your information such as opting out of newsletter communications or the method(s) used to contact you. You can also send us a formal complaint at any time if you believe we have misused your personal information.
Requesting Access to or Correction of your Information:
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you (whether we have collected it from you directly or from a third party). You also have the right to ask us to correct your information if you think it is wrong.

Collection of Personal Information
IANZ Training Services only collects personal information where it is necessary to perform training activities, such as for student enrolment or completion of course certification.
The personal information that we collect from you include some or all of the following details:

We collect other personal information mentioned above to manage the training courses and improve our training services. This information can only be accessed by the IANZ Training Services team and other staff who require this information.
Registering Others:
If you are registering on behalf of another person(s), you confirm that you have informed them that we will collect and use their personal information stated above, for the above purposes.

Personal information will be collected directly through our users and/or third-party services.
Storage and Retention:
We use secure, verified third-party providers to store and process our data.
We store most of the personal information we collect and generate electronically on Microsoft Azure cloud servers. We also use Microsoft Office 365 for our email communications and other office productivity applications. This means that the personal information we hold may be transferred to, or accessed from, countries other than New Zealand.
We retain personal information in compliance with the requirements of the Public Records Act 2005.
Security:
We take all reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect is protected against loss, unauthorised access and disclosure, or any other misuse, including meeting the requirements prescribed by the New Zealand government for the secure handling, storage, and disposal of any protectively marked or security classified information. IANZ Training Services security policies are documented within the IANZ Information Security Policy (Clause 5.20) and employees regularly undergo training on privacy and security practices.
We ensure that our third-party processors can meet our privacy and security requirements.
Disclosure of Personal Information:
IANZ Training Services will only disclose personal information for which it was originally collected or obtained. Sometimes, other reasons for disclosure are allowed, such as for the following reasons:

By registering for our IANZ Training Services course, you and the participant(s) of the training course are required to read and agree to our Privacy Policy. This policy may be updated or changed at any time and will be reflected on our website.
